Helsekompetanse.no ("service") is a service run by Helsekompetanse ("service provider") at the University Hospital of North Norway (UNN). Usage of this service means that you ("the user") have read, understood and agreed to the following terms and conditions:
1. USE OF THE SERVICE
The service provider enables users to store, share and exchange information, data, files, programs, ideas and opinions. This means that users can access material that others own the rights to according to copyright laws. The user agrees not to infringe on these rights.
If the user wishes to use third-party content, the user is responsible for obtaining the necessary permits and if needed pay fees for use of the license. In the event that the service provider receives claims for compensation from licensees for use of third party materials, the service provider reserves the right to forward said claims for compensation to the user who has violated the rights to this material.
The service provider does not monitor the content of users' account systematically. If the service provider becomes aware that a user has uploaded third-party material in violation of copyright or Norwegian law, the service provider may delete this content and block or delete the user account.
The service contains links to other web sites. These contain content outside service provider control that the service provider does not take responsibility for. Each user is solely responsible for use of external content.
Information about website use
For logged-in users, all activity is logged.
For all users, browser type, user name, time of use, IP address and pages visited are logged. In addition, for course completion, all activity is logged for logged-in users.
- Use of information.
- The service provider will not transfer personal data, including e-mail, to third parties without the consent of the user.
- Certain non-personal, anonymous information may be shared with third parties in the form of statistics.
Access control, exclusion, deregistration, deletion and alteration of entries or files
The service provider and the course/conent owner reserves the right to, without notice, suspend, delete or modify information entered by users, if it is deemed inappropriate. Content involving legal offenses or containing sensitive personal data is deleted immediately
and may lead to legal action.
In connection with troubleshooting and technical support the service provider may access the user's account.
Various features and access to parts of the service may have limited access and may require registration and approval from an administrator.
The user is solely responsible for keeping their password safe. Usernames and passwords are personal and must not be shared with third parties. The user is responsible for all activities that are logged to their username.
Sensitive patient information
Sensitive patient information must not be published in the service. Personal data must always be anonymised so that it is not possible to track individuals, directly or indirectly.
The service is in continuous development. Features and content may be changed without notice. When performing updates and upgrades, the service may be unavailable.
All materials on the websites of the service are protected by copyright laws. Printing or digital copying of material is permitted only for private, non-commercial use. Any other copying of material requires prior permission from the copyright holder. The service provider assumes no liability, whether for economic loss, misinformation, injury or other consequences of use that infringes on copyrights. Using published information in any context must contain attribution with a link to www.helsekompetanse.no.
The service provider strives for high quality service at all times. The service provider and service operate with security measures to protect loss, misuse and unauthorized alteration of information stored on the service.
The service provider assumes no responsibility for errors, omissions or loss of user data. It provides no refund or compensation beyond what may be required by law.
The service provider can not be held responsible for content that users publish on the service. It is a matter between the user who publishes and any party claiming that their rights are violated.
All complaints must be submitted within a reasonable time.
In emergency situations, including but not limited to serious threats to health, safety or the environment, natural disasters, war or warlike conditions, extensive strike or lockout, and serious danger of sabotage against networks and services, the service provider
is entitled to implement these measures; interruption in service or blocking of access to parts of the service.
The service provider reserves the right to take measures that may cause interruptions, disturbances or changes in the service that are considered necessary for technical, maintenance or operational reasons. The service provider is not liable for costs or losses that the
user may suffer as a result of such measures. The service provider will endeavor to notify the user of such measures in good time and do its utmost to ensure that inconvenience to the user is minimized.
4. CHANGES TO THE SERVICE AND TERMS
The service provider reserves the right at any time to change, pause or terminate service and/or parts of it.
The service provider reserves the right at any time to change the terms and conditions of the service. The user will be informed of these changes at subsequent login.
5. TRANSFER OF SERVICE
The service provider may transfer the service to another service provider. The service provider shall notify the user of such transfer in a timely manner. The user is deemed notified three days after the notice is sent to the user's registered email address.
This agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with Norwegian law. Disputes shall be resolved by negotiation. Any disputes not resolved amicably may be brought before the ordinary courts. Jurisdiction is Nord-Troms District Court, Norway.
7. CUSTOMER SERVICE
Questions regarding the service, technical problems, complaints or payment ISSUES should be directed to the service provider, preferably via contact form. The service provider will endeavor to provide feedback to requests without undue delay.
